Now 45 properties in East Anglia

Welcome to our 2008 brochure and a total of eight new houses for aficionados to visit. The number in Norfolk goes from six last year to ten this year. A total of 45 are now open under Invitation of View. This is yet another record, two up on last year. Our formula – whereby single visitors can combine to make up a group – is unique in Britain (maybe the world) but highly popular and effective. New visitors join us every year while long-term fans are known to notch up visits to 20 or more houses. Most visits are hosted by the owners themselves, each one a character with unique insights into the properties, whether it’s the ghosts or the family scandals. You can ask about paint colours, antiques, portraits, garden plants and rising damp. Because most are family houses, we ask you to book early (and book often). On our side, we try to co-ordinate dates so you can see two in a day and more in a week. Each house offers refreshments and some do lunch.

To book, you can either call the Mercury Theatre on 01206 573948
or book on-line at www.mercurytheatre.co.uk.
