Invitation to View has a cult following in East Anglia and now covers 45 properties in four counties.
We are a group of 45 properties in East Anglia who work as a co-operative opening our houses and gardens to the public. We decide a calender of opening dates and have a booking scheme. Any adult can buy tickets to join a group on these days which means even a single individual can see round our places.
This scheme is unique in Britain - probably the world - because most other smaller houses only open for established groups like history societies or Women’s Institutes. We receive no government or local authority hand-outs but organise ourselves through a voluntary committee and paid administrator.
