In 2009, we have a record 49 historic houses and gardens for you to visit. Of these, seven are new. Properties cover East Anglia from the outskirts of London to the North Norfolk coast; from Cambridgeshire to the Suffolk seaside.

Our formula, where single visitors form groups to visit houses by appointment, is unique in Britain (possibly the world). It allows individuals to visit real family homes, which are neither statelies nor owned by formulaic national bodies.

Visitors get to know the houses in a way impossible elsewhere (and many return time and again). Most owners are highly individual, even eccentric; we love our houses and gardens and want you to love them too. We have family ghosts and cupboards full of skeletons, battlements, moats and lots of knowledge and opinions. Just try us and see.

Because most are family houses and gardens, it helps if you can book early (and often.) On our side, we organise many unusual events and celebrations. Every house offers refreshments and some do lunches too.
