A hall house built around 1450. Apart from a cross wing added in 1601, the house is largely unaltered. It is heavily beamed throughout with vaulted ceilings, crown posts, internal spiral oak staircase, inglenooks and mullioned windows. Read Hall is partially moated and in five acres of gardens.

Tour approx 1½ hours, £13 including tea/coffee, cold drinks, biscuits and home-made cakes (summer), mince pies (winter). Accommodation.
