Wolterton Hall



Eighteenth century mansion house built by Thomas Ripley for first Lord Walpole, diplomat brother of Sir Robert Walpole; notable portrait collection. Fascinating history, landscaped park. The rooms have kept many original 18th century features. Each year there is a small exhibition. The theme for 2009 is Childhood.
Tour 1½-2 hours, £12 including tea or coffee with cakes and biscuits.
