Invitation to View 2015
In 2015, the Throckmortons of Coughton Court celebrate 600 years of living there but this is nothing to the Kellys of Kelly House and the Fulfords of Great Fulford who have both been in situ since the 12th century. An astonishing 15% of properties open under Invitation to View have been lived in by a single family since the C18 or earlier, though most have pulled down one or more houses to make their homes more fashionable and up-to-date. As well as Grade I marvels of architecture and ancient sites, in 2015 you can visit a converted branch line station, a council house transformed into ‘Britain’s most extraordinary home’ (Sunday Times), a home with a dragon on its chimney, a thriving auctioneer, a textile archive, a village guildhall and some of Britain’s most beautiful gardens. Just book your visit and prepare to be delighted.
